You are a discipler if you have been through the 35 lessons of Making Disciples Who Are… and are discipling other people.
If you have not been through the Making Disciples Who Are… curriculum, you should find a friend and go through the curriculum together. This will give you an understanding of what a discipler is and how God wants to use you to further His kingdom.
1. Keep reaching out to and discipling others. Remember to maintain your list of candidate disciplees as taught in Book 3 of the curriculum, praying for them daily, selecting one to casually meet with, and encouraging them to go through the curriculum with you.
2. Maintain contact with those you have discipled. This is the responsibility of both of you, but as the more mature believer you should take the lead. Contact them and meet with them regularly. Ask them how they’re doing and encourage them, using the Discipler Follow-Up Checklist to help you.
If you find you haven’t discipled another person in some time, your memory verses and Times With God may be getting a bit rusty. If this is the case for you, simply reach out to another person and ask them to team up with you to reestablish these disciplines. Contacting the person who discipled you may be preferred, but it could be anyone.
